In SC, Agribusiness has seen a 23% increase over the last decade as well as SC agribusinesses accounting for a $41.7 billion impact on our state's economy. The GROWTH New and Beginning Farmer Training Program provides classroom and hands-on training in sustainable farming and agribusiness. Learn not only organic row crop cultivation but microgreen and mushroom production as well.
INTRODUCTION TO SUSTAINABLE FOOD PRODUCTION
This 6 week program introduces participants to the challenges and the rewards that accompany growing crops from small plants through harvest. This class consists of three hours per week spent on the farm and approximately two hours per week of reading and interaction in the online classroom. The on-site hours of this class are Wednesday from three to six pm. Upon completion of this introductory class, participants will have the opportunity to complete a more in depth apprenticeship on the farm.

Spring Class 3/15/2021-4/21/2021
Three hours per week on-farm training and 2 hours online/classroom curriculum delivery covering farm topics only $299 (30 hours). Scholarships are available.

As we continue to develop our farm we will also continue to add programs for the community, our youth, those with mental and physical disabilities and Veterans. If you or your organization would like to collaborate on a program please reach out to us. We are currently writing grants for future programming and are open to ideas and feedback.
